Ananya to Bollywood

After her critically acclaimed performances in 'Naadodigal' and ‘Shikaar', young actress Ananya is all set to join Bollywood.

She will be starting herself in Hindi with a bilingual to be directed by Ajith, a former assistant to Ram Gopal Varma. The movie planned in Hindi and Tamil will have her as the heroine. While the Tamil Version may feature none other feature than Ilaya Thalapathi Vijay, the Hindi version may feature Madhavan or Akshaye Khanna as the hero.

The movie will also have Star Singer IV runner up Preethi Warrier and ace singer Renjini Jose in two important roles.

Endhiran The Robot - The extravaganza of Rajini and Aish

Endhiran - The Robot, the much awaited sci-fi flick has been released with a record-breaking opening all across India. Reports also say that  the movie is running full house in overseas.



The movie, which has astounding locations ranging from the South American wonder of the world, Machu Pichu,to the Brazilian desert oasis, where songs have been shot, which are also an added attraction to the massive extravaganza of the two superstars like Rajinikanth and Aishwarya Bachchan.


The Endhiran or Robot magic has to be seen to be believed, and the entire handling of this extravagant flick is quite a rarity to have ever been handled in Indian films.Even though the flick has some very high tech drama scenarios, transforming the audiences into a larger than life world, it begins on a very basic lifestyle followed by the characters, and the protagonists, played by Rajinikanth and Ash are simply very believable and down to Earth.

However, as the plot of the flick unfolds, the Rajinikanth magic spills over like an absolute obsession and one tends to get swayed in by the large extraordinaire aura spilled by the star on screen. Ash, on her part, is simply very good, and matches up to the aura of the superstar with an equal gusto!

Malayalam Movie Casanova Preview

The much awaited magnum opus in Malayalam film industry, Casanova is coming.. This new Malayalam film starring our God's own Superstar Mohanlal has started it's shooting @ Dubai and is progressing at a brisk pace. This new Mohanlal starer is expected to be the most expensive film in the history of Malayalam film industry and will see a much wider release for a Malayalam film ever.

Casanova, directed by the notable director Roshan Andrews is his fourth film in all. Just like his previous films, this film too is expected to make a good response among the family audiences. This new film, Casanova seems to be a confident presentation from the director who had been on this scripts for the last two years. Scripted by Bobby-Sanjay, who had been with Roshan for their earlier movie Notebook, Superstar Mohanlal will appear in a flourishing title role which may bring back his perfect timing of the golden days in natural acting.

The movie will have Mohanlal as International businessman and acclaimed charmer, Casanova, who is an admirer of all things beautiful. He is also the owner of ‘Casanova’s Eternal Spring’, an international chain of flower boutiques. Always seen in the company of the most beautiful women, he has at his beck and call a faithful array of female followers – staff, friends and former girlfriends – who will do anything for him. A man who is constantly awakening envy in all men and romance in all women, Casanova’s philosophy in life is simple – love cures all. With his penchant for the good life, it is little wonder that four enterprising young criminals decide to use him in their quest for some quick money.

The movie features Shriya Saran, Lakshmi Rai, Roma, Priyanka and co in the female lead. While Jagathy Sreekumar plays his faithful assistant, Lalu Alex is in a pivotal supporting role. Four fresh faces star as the gang who tries to beat the master and four newcomers join in as pivotal female characters. The movie is scripted by Bobby-Sanjay, whose initial films have created big impressions. The movie according to the scriptwriters underlines the effect of love in our lives, and that love will heal all crimes. The movie will have Action by Willim & Franz Spilhaus –Famous Action Coordinators cum Rigger for various international movies.

Casanova will be shot at various locales across the globe and will grace the theatres as the first releases of 2011.

Prabhu Deva's wife approaches court

In the midst of rumours that Prabhu Deva and Nayantara are likely to tie the knot sometime in December, Prabhu Deva's wife Latha aka Ramalath approached the Chennai Family Court on Monday pleading it to direct her husband not to leave her. The move came in the wake of Prabhu Deva admitting his affair and forthcoming marriage with Nayantara.

In her petition, Ramalath accused Prabhu Deva of not taking care of domestic responsibilities and not paying money to run the household expenses after he allegedly fell in love with Nayantara. She also stated in the her plea that Nayantara is spreading rumours that she had offered her (Latha) Rs. 3.85 crore and jewels to divorce Prabhu Deva and agree for their marriage.

Admitting that she did pick a fight with Nayantara once over phone, Ramlath warned that she would give Nayantara a sound thrashing if they meet. Notably, Prabhu Deva has not divorced Ramalath, nor is the couple legally separated. They were married on September 8, 1995 and had three sons. One of their sons passed away due to cancer.

Casanova progressing in Dubai

Superstar Mohanlal's big budget venture Casanova directed by Roshan Andrews has commenced regular shooting in Dubai. The two weeks Dubai schedule will be followed by another two weeks schedule in Bangkok. The film will also be shot in Malaysia, besides the Gulf.
Casanova revolves around an international businessman named Casanova (Mohanlal) who is an admirer of all things beautiful. Owner of an international chain of flower boutiques, he is always seen with most beautiful women and believes that love can cure all. His life takes a turn when four young criminals decide to use him in their quest for quick money.
The film is being produced by Dr. C.J. Roy of the Confident Group. The cast includes Shankar, Jagathy Sreekumar, Shriya Saran, Lakshmi Rai and Roma. Scenarist duo Boby and Sanjay, who earlier scripted Rosshan's Notebook, have written Casanova. Camera is by Gim Ganesh, art by Sunil and costume by Sai. The film is being distributed by Ashirvad through Max Lab.

Ramzan Box Office Report

It's boom time at the Kerala box-office. Ramzan has kick started the theatre collections. All three Ramzan releases- Mohanlal's Shikar, Mammootty's Pranchiyettan and the Saint and Lal Jose's Elsamma Enna Aankutty, have been appreciated and is likely to sail through.

Mohanlal's Padmakumar directed Shikar, which released on September 9 in Kerala, Chennai and Bangalore has taken extraordinary opening in 110 screens. The film has grossed an astounding Rs 5 crore 47 lakhs in 8 days from 110 screens, which is phenomenal by any yardstick. It would have taken a distributors share of around Rs 2.10 Crore.' The film is the clear number one at the Kerala box-office this Ramzan.

Way down at number two is Lal Jose directed Elsamma Enna Aankutty, which has grossed Rs 1.54 Crore from 63 releasing centers in Kerala. The film has been appreciated and is sure to be a sleeper hit.

At number three is Mammootty highly raved about Pranchiyettan and the Saint. Ranjith has proved once again that he can make critically acclaimed movies which are different and enjoyable for lovers of good cinema. The film has grossed Rs 1.42 Crore in a week from 61 screens in Kerala. The film made on a shoe string budget and on a single schedule will definitely cover its cost from theatricals and make profits on its satellite and Home video rights.

In the fourth place is Salman Khan's Dabangg, which opened to full houses in 20 odd screens in Kerala and is a hit. At number five is Vinayan's Yakshiyum Njanum, which has been shifted to smaller centers.
